Sioma confirmed as iCAN Bronze Sponsor for 2024

iCAN is proud to announce that Sioma are renewing their sponsorship for 2023 at Bronze level.

This sponsorship is a testament to Sioma’s commitment to support ethnic minorities and international talents as well as contributing to the UK insurance industry becoming more ethnically diverse.

iCAN and Sioma have previously partnered on promoting Sioma’s culture, roles, and DEI initiatives in 2022 and we are excited to be working with Alexander and the team at Sioma again!

More about Sioma

Sioma is founded upon providing expert technical insurance advice combined with a deep understanding of the risks businesses face. We offer our clients an end-to-end service, from insurance advice to policy placement and claims handling.

Sioma’s founder Alexander Margolin previously worked at Allianz as a Senior Property and Liability Underwriter and was recognised by the industry and awarded Young Underwriter of the Year at the Insurance Post Underwriting Services Awards in 2015. He is also a Chartered Insurance Broker and won the coveted Young Broker of the Year (under 35) award from the industry trade body - British Insurance Broking Association.

The sponsorship

Sioma’s sponsorship will support a wide range of iCAN’s ongoing and newly launched initiatives for 2023. The initiatives include our INspire self-serving mentoring platform and iCANConnect, a safe space for D&I leaders across the insurance industry, as well as our newly launched iCANApply Jobs Board which aims to give more access for our members to opportunities within the insurance industry.

In addition to these three main initiatives, the sponsorship will support the continuation of the iCANVoice Podcast, Coffee with the CEO series, and a range of virtual and in-person events for the 3,500+ members based in the UK and internationally.

Alexander Margolin, Managing Director at Sioma said:

“I am incredibly proud to become a sponsor of iCAN. I have always been proud of my Jewish heritage and keen to promote diversity within the insurance industry.

“This sponsorship aligns my personal charitable goals, with my work in Tanzania to bring education to children to break the cycle of poverty with my business goals around access to the insurance industry for people of all backgrounds.”
