PMO Analyst

Working as part of a small team, the individual will be responsible for collating and analysing project related information to enable coordinated delivery and use of resources across the portfolio. The portfolio comprises MINT strategic initiatives, ranging from setting up new functions / teams, to acquisitions / due diligence and operational improvement programmes.

The Strategy & Delivery team is a global function that works with the Board and executive management to provide a full research and development function to inform and develop strategic initiatives. For the team’s credibility and long term success, it is critical that it has the ability to manage and implement initiatives and projects. Demand for the team’s services has grown and continues to grow.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Portfolio Analyst to join the Strategy Delivery team.

Working as part of a small team, the individual will be responsible for collating and analysing project related information to enable coordinated delivery and use of resources across the portfolio. The portfolio comprises MINT strategic initiatives, ranging from setting up new functions / teams, to acquisitions / due diligence and operational improvement programmes. 

Duties and Responsibilities
•    Work closely with the Head of Strategy Delivery to maintain and report MINT portfolio:
o    Strategic deliverables 
o    Milestones and dependencies
o    Resources
o    Finances
•    Review project plans and controls to provide insight and ensure MINT / IDF project governance standards are adhered to
•    Provide guidance and support to the Strategy Delivery team when following MINT / MNA governance processes e.g. obtaining approvals for funding
•    Support the Head of Strategy Delivery with ad-hoc Executive business requests and reports
•    Implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve project delivery and drive efficiencies

Technical skills/Knowledge/Experience
•    Prince 2 or equivalent Project Management certification
•    Expert use of project management tools, for example Microsoft Project, for the planning and tracking of project plans
•    Expert use of MS applications, for example Excel in the manipulation of MI and portfolio data
•    Expert use of portfolio management tools and applications, for example Sciforma, Clarity or Project Server, for the planning and tracking of portfolio plans
•    Understanding of key trends in project management
•    Collaborative engagement with multiple stakeholders
