More about Apollo
Apollo is an independent, specialist Insurer and Reinsurer providing underwriting services at Lloyd’s through the Apollo 1969, Ibott 1971 and Strategic Partner 1994 syndicates. They started life in 2009 and the first syndicate, Apollo 1969, was launched in 2010. Apollo now consists of nearly 200 employees all working towards their collective vision.
The sponsorship
Apollo’s sponsorship will support a wide range of iCAN’s ongoing and newly launched initiatives for 2023. The initiatives include our INspire self-serving mentoring platform and iCANConnect, a safe space for D&I leaders across the insurance industry, as well as our newly launched iCANApply Jobs Board which aims to give more access for our members to opportunities within the insurance industry.
In addition to these three main initiatives, the sponsorship will support the continuation of the iCANVoice Podcast, Coffee with the CEO series, and a range of virtual and in-person events for the 3,500+ members based in the UK and internationally.
Tiffany Oarton, Talent and Diversity Advisor at Apollo said:
“I am excited to announce that Apollo will again be sponsoring iCAN as part of its unique commitment to further inclusion through our network groups. I have seen first-hand the positive change that inclusion networks bring to any sector and iCAN’s work is exemplary.
“iCAN’s network develops cultural empathy and knowledge, understanding of intersectional cultural needs and will help us take diversity and inclusion beyond legal compliance to grow our business and team. I found the insurance sector through iCAN, and I am so grateful to the team for introducing me to Apollo and my dream role”.
