iCAN welcomes Beazley as Bronze Sponsor for 2023

We are delighted to announce that Beazley have extended their sponsorship for iCAN as a Bronze Sponsor for 2023.

This sponsorship is effective until the end of 2023.

iCAN have previously worked with Beazley and we are excited to work again with Chelsey Sprong and the team to support their DEI initiatives. We are particularly proud of Beazley’s commitment to improving their workforce diversity by setting race and ethnicity targets.

Beazley aims to ensure at least 25% of the global workforce will consist of People of Colour by the end of 2023. In recognition that Black people are particularly underrepresented in Beazley and the insurance industry in general, they have set an additional goal of ensuring that at least a quarter of the 25% target is made up of Black people.

Beazley has a multi-pronged strategy to increase racial diversity, particularly through recruitment, retention and promotion to more senior positions.

The sponsorship

The Beazley sponsorship will support a wide range of iCAN’s ongoing and newly launched initiatives for 2023. The initiatives include our INspire self-serving mentoring platform and iCANConnect, a safe space for D&I leaders across the insurance industry, as well as our newly launched iCANApply Jobs Board which aims to give more access for our members to opportunities within the insurance industry.

In addition to these three main initiatives, the sponsorship will support the continuation of the iCANVoice Podcast, Coffee with the CEO series, and a range of virtual and in-person events for the 3,500+ members based in the UK and internationally.

Chelsey Sprong, Inclusion Partner at Beazley, said:

“Beazley are really pleased to continue to support iCAN in 2023. Supporting multicultural inclusion is incredibly important to us in our efforts to ensure our company and the industry as a whole better reflects the communities we operate within and serve. We look forward to more events, collaboration, engagement and sharing of best practice with iCAN’s help”
