Our 4th Annual Black-Owned Market: Bigger and Better Than Ever!

Our 4th Annual Black-Owned Market was a true showcase of innovation, resilience, and community spirit, made possible by the incredible support of our sponsors: Marsh, Kennedys, Allianz, and Tokio Marine Kiln.

This year’s event brought the venue alive, transforming it into a vibrant market scene bustling with an array of colourful stalls, mouth-watering food, refreshing drinks, and an electric atmosphere that embodied both celebration and unity. It was a night that amplified the excellence and tenacity of Black entrepreneurs, seamlessly connecting the insurance industry with the rich cultural fabric of the Black business community. Attendees had the chance to explore one-of-a-kind products, support independent businesses, and forge meaningful connections with the talented vendors behind each stall.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended—your support played a pivotal role in creating such an inspiring and dynamic atmosphere! Whether you were there to network, discover new brands, shop, or simply enjoy the festivities, your presence helped make the evening truly special.

A huge shoutout goes to the remarkable business owners who showcased their products—each bringing passion, creativity, and a unique story. Running a business is no small feat, and the dedication these entrepreneurs have for their craft was evident in every product and every conversation. From artisanal goods to beauty products, each stall reflected the incredible diversity, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit of the Black business community.

Echaunti Swan, Operations Manager at iCAN and Founder of the Black-Owned Market, shared her excitement: "This is one of my favourite events of the year, and I'm so proud to see it grow each time! This year, we were thrilled to present a record 20 vendors to the insurance industry. The Black business owners we partner with are fantastic, and I love seeing our community uplifted and connected in such a meaningful way. We even had some young entrepreneurs joining us this year, adding a fresh energy to the event!"

Echaunti also extended her gratitude to the entire iCAN team and our generous sponsors, whose support makes events like this possible. It’s their dedication that truly makes a world of difference. As we close another successful market, we are already brimming with ideas and excitement for our upcoming milestone—the 5th Annual Black-Owned Market—which promises to be even bigger and better!
