As an Application Support Engineer you will be part of an Agile team with a multi-technology environment that contributes to the development, maintenance, and improvement of business applications.
In this role, you will be working with a senior Software Engineer as well as collaborating with Business Analysts, key decision makers, and other IT professionals to define technical specifications and system interfaces to develop and present business solutions. Software knowledge base will vary based on the applications being built.
This is a hands-on and delivery-focused role that contributes through the design, development, test and maintenance of system features. You will provide application support for various applications built using ETL and BI tools, will identify, diagnose and tackle problems - supporting production issues where vital and provide technical oversight and assistance to other team members.
What you’ll be doing:
Provide application support for various application built using ETL and BI tools
Develop, test, and iterate on MVP solutions to operationalize new features and products
Collaborate with other teams, designing and implementing integrated features
Leverage Windows Powershell or Python to optimize delivery
Build and maintain appropriate user documentation and other project artifacts
Identify, diagnose and solve problems - supporting production issues where necessary
Provide technical oversight and assistance to other team members
Work with Product Owners and technical leadership to align product outcomes in a varied environment
What we’re looking for:
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, other related field or work experience/certification
Experience in a similar Application Support Engineer role, with an emphasis on supporting Data would be beneficial
Experience of implementation or support of Phinsys is highly desirableas well as experience with relational databases and SQL – MS SQL Server preferred
Exposure to BI tools such as Business Objects, Qlikview, Qliksense and PowerBI
Knowledge of process automation using Windows Powershell or Python
A solid understanding of diagnosing system and application issues with excellent analytical skills
Previous experience with the Scaled Agile Framework
